Source: fuckyeahtattoosI got this tattoo almost a year ago by Tom at Hope Street Tattoo in Providence, Rhode Island. My mother has been fighting cancer for almost 9 years and she has a butterfly tattooed on the back of her neck as a symbol of her changes and struggles into who she is today. An elephant has always been my symbol for good luck. I’ve had pictures, statues, key chains, and anything else of elephants just so I could feel better. By combining the two I’ve found some type of harmony and a wonderful tattoo to represent my mother. I haven’t been able to find the original artist who designed the basic outline, but if I could I’d probably thank them for something so beautiful because it means the world to me.
Source: fuckyeahtattoosMy boyfriend and I got matching white ink tattoos on our ring fingers. They say “qqdmv” which stands for Que Quieres De Mi Vida (what do you want from my life) ? This is something we say to each other when we want to really understand each other. We got them on our ring fingers to essentially work as place holders for my engagement ring and our wedding rings. When our rings go on, its as if they are an answer to the question.
It took us a VERY long time to find an artist willing to do a white ink tattoo and even longer to find an artist willing to put that many letters around our finger, but we finally found one! The artists name is Rob and his shop is called Adrenaline located on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights, NJ (yes, the home of Jersey Shore lol). He was absolutely amazing and totally up front with the level of difficulty and worked with us to figure out how to make it work. It was my second tattoo and my boyfriend’s first, but it was definitely my BEST tattoo experience yet. :)
